The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant sassa status quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on here a regular basis. The service place produced for intervention activities a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people here who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all clients and enhance usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
